You will begin your journey by following the instructions and going to each element in order of atomic number. Be sure to read the directions carefully and download any worksheets that are necessary for the activity. First Visit Second Visit Third Visit
After you do these items, it is time to go back to your desk.

Take the Periodic Table Challenge Your teacher will give you a downloaded copy of two different paper games from the Jefferson Lab classroom resource page: Element Bingo and Element Word Search for you to do at your desk after you finish here.
As you visit each site start writing down information on the elements you visit. You will notice that there are already nine elements listed. You are to fill in the information for these nine and pick five more that you would like to find out about. List the name of the element, chemical symbol, atomic number, atomic mass, and other information on the element's chemical properties such as boiling and melting points. Be sure that you do a good job! You will use this later to do your project, so be thorough. Fifth Visit Find out about comic strip heroes and how they display chemical properties. Visit this site: Comic Strip Periodic Table from the University of Kentucky
It is time to go back to your desk and design your own comic strip using two
of the elements that you have researched. Be sure to follow the
element's
chemical properties/characteristics. You can design any type of comic strip
you wish such
as a fantasy or an adventure using your elements as the heroes/heroines or
just a character that displays their chemical properties in the strip somehow.
