  • Student groups will work together both in class and outside of school to create and manage a mutual fund type stock portfolio.  Students will maintain logs of all time spent on the project.  Student logs will be submitted as part of the finished portfolio.

 

  • After collecting information throughout the semester, student groups will create portfolios containing all material distributed by the teacher relevant to the project, and any independent material gathered by the group.  The material will be clean and professional in appearance and will score 75% or better on an  existing rubric.  

 

  • Students will participate in a 20 minute group multimedia presentation explaining their stock portfolio investment choices to the teacher.  Students will score 75% or better on the presentation using an existing rubric.

 

  • Students will create a Company Resume which describes company goals, history, and investment history.  Resume will score 75% or better using existing rubric

 

  • Students will create personal resumes using professional, business models.  Resumes will score 75% using existing rubric.

 

  • Students will write reflective responses evaluating the impact of the project on their learning.  Responses will be graded by teacher.

 

  • Students will score 80% or higher on test of relevant vocabulary.
